Future of Workspaces

Direction overview

v0.1

The Future of Workspaces is a labor economics and policy focused research direction part of the larger exploratory Workspace Research Agenda, sitting alongside the design-focused Agent-Computer-Human Experience (ACHE) and the philosophy-focused Agent Phenomenology research directions. Like the larger agenda, Future of Workspaces is interested in better understanding the interplay between a given LLM agent's capabilities, the task that is asked of it, and the environment it works within to complete that task. By centering and investigating this relationship this direction aims to qualify future of work research and AI exposure indices that may overstate how readily model capabilities, demonstrated on benchmarks in research settings or in coding environments in enterprise deployment, transfer to other domains and occupations.
